‘Generation Kill’ Author Evan Wright Dies at 59

Evan Wright, a renowned journalist and author known for his work on American subcultures and his book Generation Kill, died by suicide at 59. Wright was promoting the Max documentary Teen Torture, Inc., discussing his experiences in the Seed program. He also authored four other books, Hella Nation and American Desperado. Wright attended Johns Hopkins University and Vassar College, earning a degree in Medieval History. He is survived by his wife and three children.
